Blast Notice - Monday April 17th

The BLV Group is scheduled to conduct a small routine blasting operation on the western side of the pit tomorrow (Monday April 17th) between Noon and 5pm


Blasting is a safe permitted activity and will only be done during daylight hours as per the City of Calgary’s requirements.


For Your Awareness


Will you HEAR it? – There is a possibility that nearby residents may hear a sound like distant thunder, especially on overcast days.


Will you FEEL it? – There is a slight possibility. Any ground vibrations would be brief, feeling like a slight thump on the ground or in a building.


Will you SEE it? – There is a slight possibility you might see a small puff of steam and/or dust if you happen to be looking the right direction.
