Upcoming STAR Site Calcium Application - Sunday, June 7th

With the arrival of warm weather, the STAR site will be conducting an early application of Calcium to major sections of the internal haul roads to aid in dust control.

The application will occur next Sunday, June 7th, to allow the Calcium to take effect before the return of internal truck traffic the following week. Once applied, on-site water trucks will continue their ongoing focus of maximizing dust suppression.

EDIT: Due to consistent rainfall, Calcium application has been postponed until dryer conditions to ensure it can maximize its mitigation effects. A follow-up blog will be posted once the new date has been selected.
