Just recently, the STAR site sweeper completed a full rebuild and has been welcomed back to site as an additional tool for maintaining front entrance conditions.

This internal sweeper is in addition to the existing third party sweeper program maintaining 85th street and surrounding area paid for by the aggregate CAP levy (https://www.asga.ab.ca/initiatives/cap-levy).

This internal sweeper will be replacing the other temporary sweeper that has been visiting the site entrance during rebuild time and is anticipated to increase the complete entrance cleans from 3x a week to 12x a week during peak season. The internal sweeping is scheduled to occur both at the start and end of the day.

This sweeper rebuild was to align with another program expected to occur within 2025 for increasing the paved area around the site entrance to further reduce material from exiting the site. Stay tuned!
