The BLV Group have resumed crushing activity at their Western crushing plant. Their first objective is to recreate the barrier stockpiles between the plant and local communities. While stockpiles were reduced in size from shipments off site during winter maintenance, they are quickly being reformed and will act as additional barriers placed as close to sound sources as possible. By doing so, they maximize their potential to absorb & deflect sound away from communities as recommended by sound professionals.
By starting this crushing plant in the winter season, BLV is able to capitalize on crushing during the colder season to minimize running hours required during warmer months. The anticipation is with effective winter crushing, BLV aims at being in a position to remove weekend shifts as warmer weather approaches.
