We will be starting earthmoving activity this week in Phase 4 West located towards the Western sound berm utilizing scrapers and dozers.

The activity will remove overburden to expose the gravel deposit and place the soil in the pit bottom where the gravel has been previously excavated.

This program was designed to continue improvements such as backfilling and providing lower elevation areas to place crushing components that allow surrounding walls to act as natural larger sound barriers. Timing of earthmoving programs have also been shifted to be accomplished within winter months to reduce the duration of Heavy Mobile Equipment on site during warmer months.

In addition, this programs aims to expose gravel deposits sooner in the new year and capitalize on earlier production of gravel products to smooth out peak-season and minimize crushing equipment required on site.

This project should last approximately four months and will be conducted during daylight hours.
